Abstract:
The study aimes to understand the level of assessing managerial excellence in Al-Ahliyyah Amman University in the light of European Quality Assurance Register (EQAR) and from the perspective of the university's academic and administrative members. Also, the study aimes to identify whether there are differences of statistical significance at the level (a< 0.05). This is in relation to assessing the sample of the study in terms of the following variables: sex, job title, academic rank, and years of working experience at the university. That data were collected via questionnaire that includes 49 questions which were checked for authenticity. The questionnaire was distributed on a sample of 230 academic and administrative members working at the University. The study revealed that the level of assessing managerial excellence in Al-Ahliyyah Amman University with respect to their alignment with the EQAR was high in the following standards: workers' and customers' satisfaction, community service, performance results. Moreover, the study revealed that there are no differences of statistical significance between the averages of the participants in the sample understudy in terms of sex and academic rank. However, there are differences of statistical significance between the averages of the participants in the sample under study in terms of job title and years of working experience at the university.
The study concluded the following recommendations: It is imperative to adopt performance indicators to measure/assess the satisfaction of service recipients and employees with the level of the university services & It is also advisable to focus on the importance of the concept of excellence and promote it through holding seminars,issuing publications,and providing special consultation to raise awareness of such importance and stress its role and the benefit of application the standards of excellence,quality management and build up the concept of institutional excellence at the university.
