Abstract:
This study aims to identify the reality of the application of the e-education in Algerian universities case study in the University of biskra, through identifying its own pros and cons and constraints from the point of view of the teaching staff members. The sample consists of teaching staff members (Assistant Professor-B-, Assistant Professor-a-, Lecturer-B-, Lecturer-a-, and Professor) at Biskra University numbered,(300) teachers, and in order to address that researchers use descriptive scanning approach through a questionnaire proven its sincere and constant, the study concluded:
The advantages of the application of e-learning in the university from the point of view of the faculty members is that the e-education system has features desirable to university students and e-education system provides an appropriate environment for student use.
The negative aspects of the application of e-learning in the university is the long sitting hours in front of a computer, which causes many diseases, and reduces the burden of teachers, and increases the burden of students.
The most important obstacles are the high cost of maintenance of computers and its accessories and network equipment used in the application of the electronic education, and lack of human cadres capable of dealing with the e-education programs in the university.
The study also recommends to set e-education plans according to the possibilities available in the university and restructure university programs, curricula, and strategies for their implementation.
