Abstract:

This study aims to shed light on Israeli political propaganda via social media sites, specifically Netanyahu's tweets on X platform. The researcher used descriptive analytical method and resorted to content analysis tool for all tweets in English language since (2016) until (2023), which number (328). The study found that Netanyahu uses X platform to showcase Israel's military, political, and economic strength and to portray it as a civilized, peace-loving state. He resorts to international courtesies extensively, without excluding private and official occasions. Results showed that Netanyahu addresses world in support of his various decisions and achievements by 25.5%, opposes some events, especially terrorist attacks, by 14.8%, and stands neutral in face of international disputes by 6.7%. He also diversifies the style of writing and presenting tweets and focuses on narrative, then descriptive, then statistical method. It uses methods of persuasion and focuses on mental aspect by 64.02%, and emotional aspect by 29.2%. It makes greater use of textual tweets, attaching images to them by 35%, videos by 14%, and audio by 3.6%. Accordingly, Study recommends employing influencers and media professionals for social media networks to respond to Israeli political propaganda.
